I arrived in Boulder as a CU student in 1979. 2 college degrees, some ski racing, and lots of Ultimate frisbees later I graduated and have called Boulder my home ever since. It is here I started my business, married my wonderful husband, and raised our 2 lovely daughters. I am happy to report that 40 years later, I am still pleased to call Boulder my home. I can't imagine living anywhere else and I love knowing and sharing the intimacies of my hometown. It's a unique lifestyle with an outstanding quality of life not often found in other places.
When not working I can be found outside; running, cycling, climbing, and skiing with friends and family. I also enjoy art and design which I have studied much of my life.
I grew up in Portland, Oregon where my father was a respected and well-known mid-century architect. In our house growing up, we always discussed houses, for which my father was known. In our home orbit, you would never "buy" a house. You would have it designed and built for you, covering your needs and esthetic design sense, or should I say my father's esthetic design sense. His clients didn't get much of a say in the design department, but their wants and needs were always covered.
These days, and especially in Boulder, it can be complicated to design and build a home for most clients. Purchasing a home on the market is much easier and for those with a specific vision, a small remodel can do the trick. It's all in the hunt and with our tight market patience may be needed, but I have a great track record for finding what works. We all want our special place. Whatever that means for you.
I work in luxury, and I work with first-time home buyers. I find great satisfaction in working through clients' life transitions. And it's usually a life transition that involves the sale or purchase of real estate. My mentee Dreamers, the first in their families to buy a home! Good friends selling beautiful modern homes to build another! Clients selling gorgeous luxury properties to downsize! Clients are finally able to purchase their Vail dream home now that the kids are through college! Transitions, exciting and sometimes difficult. I provide successful transactions across the board. It makes me happy.
